Shawnee Mission Beach Volleyball is the premier sand volleyball complex in the midwest. We offer league play six nights a week with options available for every player from novice to advanced. Most of the teams that play here are coed sixes. These teams usually have eight or more players on their roster and rotate the extra players in. Coed rules stipulate that at least as many women as men are on the court at one time. Teams usually start out in recreational leagues and gradually move up to intermediate as they learn to pass, set and spike. League play consists of one hour matches nine consecutive weeks with the ninth week held for rainout or make up matches. We have three of these nine week sessions each year beginning the first week of April. Leagues are offerred Sunday through Friday evenings at 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30. With 18 sand courts, we can only accomodate 36 teams per hour, so check the night and time you would like to play on the standings page for availability before moving on to the signup page.Visit our signup page and choose the specific night and time your team would like to play.
